The signs:
1). Major cold/sinus infection that knocks you out until you FINALLY get antibiotics, after a stubborn week of ignoring the wise words of every person you encounter.
2). Our first significant snowfall, 5-10 inches of beautiful powder, causing the typical 35 min drive home to nearly triple. Yes, triple. And there is still that bonehead with a car even smaller than yours that insists on tailgating, as if he thrives on massive collisions.
3). A week with temperature highs of 4 degrees, making the weekend high of 24 feel like Spring!
4). Driving home to beautiful snow-covered trees and the ice slowly accumulating on the lake.
